Give me a fcuking Break.

Apple iPod in Decline; iPhone Flatlining?

Tue, 22 Apr 2008 08:25:47 PDT
Interesting data via the ever-amusing Google Trends on comparative consumer interest in Apple's iPhone and iPod over the past twelve months. Looks like iPod is in decline after a seasonal bump, and iPhone has flatlined at lower levels. And just for fun, here is one more on Apple's Macbook. I put it on a different graph as, given the pricepoint, interest is at a much lower level.

‘The system is badly broken’

Tue, 22 Apr 2008 08:18:13 PDT
‘The system is badly broken’ April 22 School districts here in the Lower Hudson Valley often are comprised of more than just one town. Here’s a letter I recently received talking about how the system “is badly broken” and is “tearing us apart” because of tax inequalities between different towns. “Hello Diana. My name is Marc Kirschner. I’m a trustee on the Tarrytown BOE; I’ve served for the past 13 years. Thank you for your accurate and informative coverage of our upcoming budget vote.

Snow in Seattle… Burberry Quilted Jacket

Tue, 22 Apr 2008 07:58:42 PDT
As pretty this as is, I don’t think that it’s going to be enough to keep those poor souls warm in Seattle. They have snow and in Vancouver, it’s not much better. It’s 34 degrees F today and on Saturday, my Father-in-Law is getting married again. It is supposed to be set in a rose garden, but I’m not sure what to expect. I don’t think roses like those temps and it is the end of April. I guess we can only hope that those temps don’t venture east. Winter was bad enough, I’m ready for sunshine and

Tue, 22 Apr 2008 07:51:24 PDT
So in my copious free time, I've been reading Teddy White's The Making of the Presdient 1968. 1968 has always seemed to me a bit mysterious as well as a bit of a turning point itself. How did Nixon get the nomination when he was only one of a list of names in 1967? How did Humphrey win without entering any primaries? Why did Romney lose in 1968, while Romney...lost...in 2008? And given the evident political parallels between Vietnam and Iraq, what lessons can we draw 40 years after the fact? W
